The cutting quality of optical fiber laser cutting machine is poor. Here are some tips

For new laser cutting operators, they will be in trouble when encountering laser cutting quality problems. They don’t know how to adjust many parameters on the desktop of the console. Let’s simply sort out the problems encountered and solutions.

Those who have been engaged in laser technology know that the hardware conditions that affect the quality of laser cutting include: protective lenses, gas purity, plate quality, focusing and collimating mirrors; Parameters include: focus position, cutting height, cutting nozzle model, cutting frequency, cutting power, cutting air pressure, cutting speed and cutting duty cycle.

In case of poor laser cutting quality, it is recommended to conduct an inspection first. The main inspection contents include:

1. The actual cutting height is recommended to be 0.8~1.2mm. If the actual cutting height is inaccurate, calibration is required;

2. It is recommended to use a cutting nozzle with a diameter of 1.0 to check the optical center. When checking the optical center, the focus should preferably be between – 1 and 1, so that the light spot produced is small and easy to observe;

3. Check whether the model and size of the cutting nozzle are used incorrectly. If it is correct, check whether the cutting nozzle is damaged and whether the roundness is normal;

4. Check whether the focus is set correctly;

5. Protect the lens. Check whether the lens is clean. It is required to be free of water, oil and slag. Sometimes, the lens may be fogged due to weather or too cold air;

6. Modify cutting parameters.

After all the above six items are checked and there are no problems, modify the parameters according to the cutting problems.
