Stock CO2 Laser Lens Vs. Cloudray Compound Lens – Better Engraving?

Stock CO2 Laser Lens Vs. Cloudray Compound Lens – Better Engraving?

Today we’re going to be looking at installing a Cloudray Laser Compound Lens Kit on my 50w laser cutter.
Having a compound lens installed on your CO2 laser cutter should let you get darker and finer laser engraving on your laser engraving machine. The drawback is that they do not let you cut anywhere as deep as the stock CO2 laser lens that came with your laser cutter.
My CO2 laser engraver is similar to the popular k40 laser cutter and other Chinese laser engravers, so the install process should be similar for other machines, like an 80w laser cutter.
