Maintenance of fiber laser cutting head

1. Nozzle

The size of nozzle and the selection of nozzle size have a great impact on cutting quality. There are three main types of nozzles: parallel, convergent and conical.

2. Lens system

The lens system includes focusing lens, protective lens and collimating lens.

Use the energy of the laser beam to cut. The original beam emitted by the laser must be focused through the lens to form a high energy density point. According to Gaussian optical theory, the focus has a high power density. The longer the focal length of the lens, the larger the focal spot and the lower the power density, which is why the telephoto lens is suitable for thick plate cutting,

3. Tracking system

The tracking sensor is the core part of the tracking system. The sensor is composed of sensing element and amplification control part. There are two main forms of tracking system. One is capacitive sensor tracking system, also known as non-contact tracking system. The other is inductive sensor tracking system, also known as contact tracking system.

How to maintain the fiber laser cutting head?

1. The nozzle should be checked once a day

2. The protective lens should be checked every day. If there is dust, please wipe it. If cracks appear, please replace them with new ones.

3. The focusing lens and collimator should be carefully checked once a week. However, dust environment is not required for inspection.

4. Remember to check the straightness of the laser beam before starting the machine every time.
