One of my favorite devices here in our office is our Fraxel laser. It’s something that if I would rmend everyone get done once year. There’s a lot of reasons for that because we really need to get a little bit more aggressive if we’re trying to both reverse and slow the aging process. Fraxel does a beautiful job cosmetically with fine lines wrinkles and sunspots. Medically, you’re going to clear up a lot of this early precancerous damage with some laser resurfacing.
We really do love Fraxel–we do a ton of it here so on the day of treatment youe in, you get numbed for quite a long time, at least an hour and then your hands-on time treatment is under 30 minutes. We usually like to treat the face, the neck and chest. Also, like dr. Holman said, it’s great for pigment, it’s great for fine lines and wrinkles.
On the day of treatment it’s superfortable, I would say because we numb it’s veryfortable and then afterwards you feel maybe a little sunburned. You look a little red for up to five to seven days but there is no pain after the treatment. It’s pretty neat you leave here red sunburned and lasts for two to three hours. The worst of your swelling is going to be the day following treatment. Most folks are back out at day five with their makeup on and folks don’t know they had anything done.
