Last time, we learned about the burr problems often encountered by optical fiber laser cutting machine when cutting carbon steel plates. Next, let’s take a look at other problems encountered in the process of laser cutting.
1、 Abnormal sparks often occur when cutting thin carbon steel
We know that when laser cutting thin sheet carbon steel, normally speaking, the spark beam is long, flat and has few forks, while abnormal sparks will affect the smoothness and processing quality of the cutting surface of the workpiece. If other parameters are normal, the following conditions shall be considered:
1. The nozzle of laser cutting head is seriously damaged, and the old nozzle should be replaced in time;
2. Increase the cutting auxiliary gas pressure without replacing the new nozzle;
3. If the thread at the connection between the nozzle and the laser cutting head is loose, stop the laser cutting immediately, check the connection status of the laser cutting head, and fix the thread again.
2、 . Laser not completely cut
1 The selection of the laser nozzle does not match the thickness of the processed plate, replace the nozzle or process the plate;
2. The linear speed of laser cutting is too fast, so the linear speed needs to be reduced by operation control.
